Many people have remained silent in the face of wrongs and injustice, holding back from drawing unwanted attention and feeling reluctance to speak out and take action. However, if we don't act, it may be too late.
The song isn't about anyone, so much as Mother Nature. As the Roman philosopher Lucretius (c99 BC - c55 BC) said in De Rerum Natura (The Nature of Things):
“Harmony, whatever it is, leave it to the musicians.”
